Sports Management at UClan is at an exciting time in its development. There are new undergraduate, postgraduate and international programmes under development following a very successful 2008 RAE, where a significant proportion of the School’s Business and Management output was rated as “World Leading”. The successful candidate will contribute to course delivery, course management and course development within the Sports Management and related areas at UClan. The post holder will undertake research and income generation through scholarly activities and undertake specific module leader responsibilities.
With a good first degree in a related area, and a doctoral qualification, it is essential that you have had experience of lecturing in sport in HE, and of making a significant input as part of a module delivery team. You will also have sport research outputs and demonstrate that you have the capability to publish nationally recognised academic refereed publications consistent with RAE / REF entry. Possessing excellent communication, you should also have a high degree of initiative and independence.
Informal enquiries should be made to Dr John Minten, jhminten@uclan.ac.uk . For further information about the School of Sport, Tourism and The Outdoors please visit our website: www.uclan.ac.uk.
